You know why Notre Dame lost? It's because they were under the impression that the exhibition of football excellence on Saturday night was, in the words of Rocket Ismail, "not a game." I am pretty sure those were his exact words because Mr. Rocket repeated that phrase roughly 3.6 gajillion times in his 4 minute pump-ump speech to the Domer faithful.
This kind of puts a dagger into the heart of the "high academic standards" argument that the Irish like to trot out.
Late Update: Oh, and Rocket isn't just a concerned bystander. He's a voter in the Harris poll, which is 1/3 of the BCS. Watch that video again and say to yourself, "this is a Harris Poll voter."

Actually, Mr. Ismael suffers from a rare condition in which he compulsively repeats everything he says at least 3 times. This is no laughing matter. You will be hearing from his lawyers.
